So many changes occur during pregnancy, and they happen so quickly -your centre of gravity is shifting, and your body is working hard to create a whole new person! Ligaments relax, in preparation for delivery day, and both the support and stabilization of your joints is compromised.
Can you even remember the last time you were resting on your tummy? At Back On Track Massage Therapy, we have a special cushion designed to support your pregnant belly as you lie face down, while one of our Registered Massage Therapists eases away the aches and pains that pregnant women feel.
From the weekend warrior to the elite level, athletes require a different approach to help them achieve optimal results in their chosen sport. Individual treatment plans are created for each patient by a highly skilled Registered Massage Therapist. Treatment plans range from pre to post event for professional or semi professional athletes, as well as plans that are created for those who engage in recreational sport activities, so that you can continue to enjoy the sport that you love!
Craniosacral Therapy is a hands on technique that works on the central nervous system. The craniosacral system is comprised of the brain and its coverings, as well as the coverings of the spinal cord, down to the filum terminale in the sacrum, and everything associated with them. The flow of cerebrospinal fluid through the brain and spinal cord brings essential nutrients to the nerves that control every system in the body. When there are restrictions within the craniosacral system, it can have adverse effects on many other systems in the body, including the musculoskeletal system. CST is a very gentle technique that works to reduce these restrictions, thereby restoring a natural balance to the whole body.
“ Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.”
